ROLLINS LAKE CANOE TRIP
June 11-12, 2004

OK... Are ya wondering if those paddles will really work? Are you ready to put them to the test? They can probably at least splash! This is the trip for you!!!

WE will be camping at Greenhorn campground at Rollins lake.
BE PREPARED! All scouts will be required to pass the BSA FIRST CLASS swim test, ( a continous 75 yard swim in a strong manner,) at the campground Saturday morning. If you are not certain that you can pass this test, or have questions about the test, please contact your assistant scout master BEFORE you turn in the permission slip.
All scouts should bring a kneeling pad with two ropes attached, ( as shown at the troop meeting,) or knee pads, for the canoe. Other essentials are SUNSCREEN, a hat, two 1 gallon OJ or milk containers with two ropes attached.
Fun items to take would be swim suits and super soakers.

Driving Directions:
Take I-80 east to Colfax. Exit at Colfax on Highway 174. Take 174 north about 4 or 5 miles to Greenhorn Road. Go right on Greenhorn Road. Take this until it dead ends at the campground.
