Parent Recognition

Troop 136 honored the following parents at the March 15 Court of Honor at Cal Middle School.  Please join us in recognizing the work this family has done for Troop 136:

        Glen and Kathy Smith

Troop 136 started the parent recognition award last year.  We do this to honor a few of the many parents who have done so much to make Troop 136 successful.  While every family has done what it can to help out, these parents have spent a continued effort above the norm.  The following criteria were used to select the parents:

  • The parents have done more than the standard parent.
  • The scout has completed his Eagle reuqirements or is getting ready to leave the Troop (age or other interests).
  • The family does not have another scout currently active in the Troop

Parents honored last year were:

  •     Dale and Donna Campbell
  •     Greg and Molly Cundiff
  •     Kristi and Bill Dallosta
  •     Don and Joanne Hufford
  •     Kay and Greg Lee

The building of Troop 136 Eagles Nest

Do you know of any Scouts from Troop 136 who made it to the rank of eagle?

Let us know! We are in the process of building a section on our website to recognize all of the Boy Scouts from Troop 136 who have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Eagles NestThe award is a performance-based achievement whose standards have been well-maintained over the years. Not every boy who joins a Boy Scout troop earns the Eagle Scout rank; only about 4 percent of all Boy Scouts do so. This represents more than 1 million Boy Scouts who have earned the rank since 1911. Nevertheless, the goals of Scouting--Participating Citizenship, Moral Stength and Character, and Physical, Mental and Emotional Fitness - remain important for all Scouts, whether or not they attain the Eagle Scout rank.

This page will congratulate and honor the Scouts from Troop 136 that have earned the Eagle Rank.
